is originally from Japan, where she began her training in classical ballet at the age of five. When she was 17, she performed as a soloist in "Sleeping Beauty" at the Yokohama Port 150th Anniversary in Yokohama, Japan. She moved to New York to continue her studies at SUNY Purchase College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2015 with a BFA in Dance. While there, she performed works by Bill.T.Jones, Attila Joey Csiki, Gabrielle Lamb, Rosalind Newman, Merce Cunningham, and more. Chisato is also a member of RéCo Dance and serves as their rehearsal director. Currently based in New York, she works with many young choreographers and Japanese artists, such as New York Japanese Women Jazz Composers. Chisato is thrilled to dance in her second year with NSquared!
